Labor Day Weekend 2009

We had a busy, but fantastic, Labor Day weekend! On Saturday, we went to Birmingham. Our first stop was Pop's house.
Uncle Chris, Reed, Pop, Knox, Daddy, and Peyton

Our second stop was to see Grandmother. After she finished eating, we went to the lobby. The grandchildren got in the floor and played. But Knox had to stop and admire the birds, first.

On Sunday, we drove to Mammaw & Pappaw's place on Bear Creek. Knox got to go on his first boat ride. Peyton fished, but it was too close to Knox's nap time for him to hang in there long.

I like this picture. Peyton is doing his best to reel in the big one, but Knox couldn't care less. All he's worried about it sleeping and eating. I also love Reed's belly poking out. Too cute!

Knox tried to help Pop and Mommy work the crossword puzzle.
(He really only wanted to eat the pen, but still.)

Nani, Knox, and Aundrea

Knox loved his cousin Aundrea. She was so good with him!

Pop set up a little tent for Knox to play in at the campsite. Knox got to spend some quality time with his aunt Erin.

This was Knox's first time to meet them.

Sunday afternoon, we left the campgrounds and went to Marriott Shoals. We met up with Nana, Grandaddy, Uncle Jack, and Kirk.

He has finally learned how to wave!

The outdoor pool was too cold for Knox, so Grandaddy swam with him in the indoor pool.

After swimming, we let him take a bath in the sink. He loved it until he figured out how to turn the water on. Knox ended up going to sleep at 7:00. The hotel had a HUGE fireworks show at 9:00. It was the best show I'd ever seen in my entire life. Knox slept through the entire show. He was one tired baby!
Monday, Knox got to go swimming again. He got in the jacuzzi and loved every minute of it. He liked playing with the bubbles floating around, and he enjoyed being able to stand up on the side.

We had such a good weekend, but Knox was proud to be home Monday evening. Here's a video of him waving...
