Peanuts and Crackerjacks

I can't believe Uncle Jack's seventh grade baseball season is already over! Knox and I had so much fun going to the ballgames!
There were times we pulled in on two wheels coming from Knox's swimming lessons, but nevertheless, we made it! Knox never missed a single game all season.

He was quite the trooper, and I am so proud of him. He rarely ever fussed or gave me any trouble. Although he was often bribed with Cheetos and/or Bugles, he survived each game and each trip.

Some of the things Knox enjoyed this season were:

~hanging out with Nana
~eating Bugles (and putting them on his little finger)

~riding Peyton's car all over the place, and often talking on a cell phone. *He called our preacher one time from Nana's phone. The preacher called Nana back & told her all he heard was heavy breathing! Ha!
~walking around with no pants on after spilling water on his shorts, as well as sporting Kirk's hat
~hanging out with Kirk
~balancing a water bottle on his head
*pictured with Mr. Reed, his ultimate snack buddy - Mr. Reed insisted on buying Knox something at every game. They are also peekaboo buds!
~carrying Uncle Jack's cooler

~stealing Ryeder's chair

lpppppppopooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo?/
(I'm not sure what that means, but Knox does.)

~making new friends
*The Thorn family was SO good to Knox! He loved riding the horsey with them and eating all of their food.
~drinking Moma's Twist Ups

~guzzling down Capri Suns
*pictured at Peyton's practice game in his very own new chair
~entertaining the fans
~and smiling at everyone in sight!

Bulldog Baseball

Anyone that knows Daddy and me, knows that we LOVE spontaneous road trips. We are so thankful that Knox is finally old enough to go on these trips with us! Last Saturday, we went to Braxton's baseball game in Saltillo. After the game, Knox wanted to take a nap. While he was sleeping, Daddy was driving south.
We went to Starkville to watch the Bulldogs play baseball against Arkansas! It was perfect weather for a good SEC game!
Knox enjoyed watching the entertainment coming from the Left Field Lounge, eating & being able to make a mess, listening to the music, and waving at the spectators.
We didn't stay for the entire game. Instead we snuck out a little early and beat the crowd to Daddy's all-time favorite restaurant, Lil Dooey's.
We had a GREAT day!

Welcome Home 155th

Daddy and I took Knox to the patriotic parade to welcome home the 155th Brigade, Company B, our local heroes. Knox LOVED all the motorcycles! He also enjoyed Mrs. Sandra letting him wave her big flag.
It just seems like yesterday that our favorite active soldier, Brian, came by the hospital to visit when Knox was in the NICU. We are so proud to have him home!

Duck, Duck, Goose

And here we are, forty-one days later. Little Man has grown and changed so much!
This is a day I hope to always, always, always remember. I had such an incredible time with my little buddy.
We began our day by meeting Pop and Pappaw for lunch at Cedar Landing. Pappaw had a doctor's appointment, so unfortunately he left after he finished eating. However, this was just the beginning for us!
Pop and Nani bought Knox a tent (which is SO cool)! Pop showed us how to set it up while we were in the parking lot. Knox was a great little helper.

I know we will get a lot of use out of the tent, and I'm already thinking of ideas for places to use it. It is perfect for Knox!

Before we left the restaurant, I found out that Uncle Jack's home baseball game had been moved to Shannon. We went to Walmart to buy a few things (warm clothes, more diapers, etc.). It's better to be over-prepared.
As usual, no one is going anywhere until Knox drives. Pop was kind enough to let Knox take the wheel (and radio, windshield wipers, and blinker).
When we left Walmart, we made another surprise visit to see Granny. I love watching Knox with Granny! He is so sweet to her!

In order to keep Knox from riding so much, I decided to spend the afternoon in Tupelo while we waited for Uncle Jack's game. We went to Ballard Park and just simply hung out. Knox swang, we walked around, we laughed together, we watched an airplane fly over, and then Knox saw the ducks. His little world lit up! I was so nervous trying to take pictures, but I wanted to remember this always! He was completely fascinated by the ducks!
Knox can't run yet, but he sure came close!! He chased the ducks all over the hill and around the water.

Honestly, I could have watched Knox chase the ducks for hours! It was such a delight!
Time passed, and we went to Chick-fil-A to eat supper. Knox wasn't all that interested in eating, but he absolutely LOVED when I squirted ketchup on his little index finger!
We finally made it to the ballgame, and Mr. Reed had a big bag of Bugles and Cheese Puffs for Knox. Mr. Reed taught Knox how to put the Bugles on his finger to eat them. It's precious watching him!
This sweet boy has been to more ballgames than most people attend in a lifetime. (I'm not kidding.) He's obviously been paying a lot of attention to his loud-mouthed mom because occasionally he'd go to the wall and yell at the players! It was so funny!

It's days like this that I truly LOVE having a little BOY!!!
